The 88th Texas Legislature convenes at noon on January 10. The upcoming session will present numerous opportunities for bipartisan collaboration as lawmakers look for ways to spend an unusually large budget surplus in ways that benefit Texans.

Some of the real estate-related issues state lawmakers are expected to consider are:

  1. Property tax reform

  2. Housing affordability

  3. Property owners associations

  4. Infrastructure
