Big wins for REALTOR®-supported candidates

TREPAC supported several mayoral, city council, school board, and community college board candidates across Texas in the May 6 local elections. Overall, efforts at the local level were very successful. Of the 80 TREPAC-supported candidates, 62 (78%) either won outright or are heading to a runoff election. Runoffs are likely to be held June 10. Total breakdown was 45 wins, 18 losses, and 17 runoffs.

Breakdown by races:

1. 9 mayoral candidates—6 wins, 3 runoffs

2. 55 city/town council candidates—29 wins, 13 losses, and 13 runoffs

3. 14 school board candidates—10 outright wins, 4 losses

4. 2 community college board candidates—1 runoff, 1 loss
